The seventh version of Alimentec brings together in Colombia the food and hotel industry national and international

• Alimentec is the most representative fair of the sector in Latin America organized by the International Business Center and Exhibition (Corferias).
• The event will feature strong suppliers to provide the necessary infrastructure facilities to companies.

Bogota, april 2012. From June 19 to June 23 will be the seventh version of the International Fair of Food and Hospitality - VII Alimentec 2012, in The International Business Center and Exhibition - Corferias - Bogota. An event that provides the framework for negotiating and establishing business contacts with major buyers, wholesalers, distributors and importers of Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Bermuda , Aruba and other islands of Central America.

VII Alimentec 2012 gather the most representative of the national and Latin American industry on processed foods, hortifruticultura, beverages, machinery, equipment, supplies, packaging and services that promote a professional and specialized meeting ensuring qualified contacts between exhibitors and visitors.

The event will be held in three pavilions in which will present the following items: food and beverages, machinery, equipment and supplies, food and international drinks.

The fair structure comprises a sample trade, an academic and technical schedule in each of the pavilions, and a business conference national and international.
 
The sectors that will participate in the exhibition are: fresh food, processed foods, organic foods, sweeteners, drinks and liquors, machinery and equipment for food processing, packaging, raw materials, provisions, supplies, household goods, furniture, technology and computer utilities and telecommunications, maintenance services and supplies, financial services and insurance, entertainment, transportation, security, supplies and services.

Exhibitors who will be present in the VII Alimentec 2012 represent hortifruticultura industry, processed foods, beverages, machinery, equipment, containers, packaging, packaging, technology, services and supplies.

This year the seventh version of Alimentec will have more than 300 exhibitors from nearly 10 countries, which receive over 25,000 visitors, including international buyers who will have 10,000 square meters of exhibition.
VII Alimentec 2012 takes place in simultaneous with Extravaganza 2012, an event organized by Makro Supermayorista aimed at strengthening relations and creating new links between buyers, suppliers, service providers, logistics operators, distributors, restaurants and catering, promoting specialized business professionals and creating successful partnerships, competitiveness and profitability.

All the general public may attend to the fair: professionals than make decisions to purchase, consumption, specific inputs and outputs of the sector with specific properties and qualities, managers, owners, managers, heads of food and beverage, purchasing managers, chefs , auxiliaries, assistants, students last semester, bartenders, waiters and service staff in each sector called, among others.

Previous versions of Alimentec

In 2010, Alimentec had the presence of 23,000 attendees and 400 exhibitors who gathered on 10,000 square meters of exhibition in Corferias during the five day event with a business expectancy USD $ 36,300,640.

In 2008, Alimentec had the presence of 26,000 attendees and 240 exhibitors gathered at 5,852 square meters of exhibition in Corferias during five days.

335 international buyers visited the fair. 80 of them participated in the business conference and had the opportunity to know the products and services from 998 exhibitors in the appointments specified in detail. Were obtained as USD $ 23.500.00 in business expectations.
